The concept for the design of the Blackboard Transact headquarters was derived from the company brand. The red, black, and white color scheme and arrow graphics are influential throughout the space design.
The office space serves two main functions; a dynamic workplace for Transact employees, and a showroom for new and existing clients. Therefore it was important that the space not only be comfortable and flexible for employees, but also leave a strong brand image in the mind of clients.
Private offices include floor to ceiling glass to connect to the open office environment, breaking from traditional privacy barriers and promoting collaboration between upper management and employees. Glass allows light to infiltrate the space while maintaining the advantage of efficiency afforded by office placement along the perimeter of the suite. The design accounts for future expansion by sizing private offices to accommodate shared offices in the future. The furniture system was selected to support easy expansion.
