Overview
Intel’s CH-7 Cafe renovation includes the complete remodel of an existing servery, food stations, cafe, dining hall, conference room, and associated patio in an effort to expand participation in Intel’s corporate dining plan. The former cafe’s dated equipment and finishes were replaced with new elements which emphasize demonstration of fresh and healthful food preparation.
Project Approach
Lightvox Studio was initially commissioned to develop a concept design which would address a general discontent with the existing dining facility. Through tours of the existing facility, and successful peer facilities as well as extensive meetings with the User’s project manager, foodservice providers and the Design-build partner, Turner Construction, the design team determined a scope of work, a concept design, extensive concept renderings, and preliminary budget numbers which were approved by Intel and formed the foundation for the design phase.
